iMazi is a xhosa word for a heifer, a young cow. In the old days, wealth was
identified by the quality and size of the cattle herd. A heifer
grows over time, produces off-spring and milk, and is therefore
a good long term investment. The offspring in investment terms implies
profit growth while milk implies dividends. The heifer is sold at the end
of its life, realising a capital gain.
